Acknowledging Alerts

Acknowledging Alerts

Acknowledging an alert indicates that you are aware of the issue and are taking appropriate action.

Why Acknowledge Alerts?

  • Track which alerts have been reviewed
  • Distinguish between new and known issues
  • Maintain a clear audit trail of alert handling
  • Help team members understand which alerts are being addressed

How to Acknowledge

  1. Navigate to the Alerts page
  2. Find the alert you want to acknowledge
  3. Click the Acknowledge button
  4. The alert moves from Active to Acknowledged status

What Happens When You Acknowledge

  • The alert is marked with your acknowledgement
  • A timestamp is recorded
  • The alert moves to the Acknowledged section
  • The alert remains visible until the underlying issue is resolved

Acknowledged vs Resolved

  • Acknowledged: You are aware of the issue; it still exists
  • Resolved: The underlying condition has been fixed

Alerts are automatically resolved when the system detects that the triggering condition no longer exists.

Best Practices

  • Review active alerts regularly
  • Acknowledge alerts you are investigating
  • Document actions taken for critical alerts
  • Follow up on acknowledged alerts to ensure resolution
