Understanding Disk Information

The Disks page provides detailed information about every storage device being monitored across your infrastructure.

Disk List View

Navigate to Disks to see all monitored disks. The list shows:

  • Server: Which server the disk is attached to
  • Serial Number: Unique disk identifier
  • Status: Current disk status (Active, Missing, Removed)
  • Type: Disk type (HDD, SSD, NVMe)
  • Capacity: Storage capacity
  • Alerts: Number of active alerts

Filtering Disks

Use the filter options to narrow down the list:

  • All Disks: Show every disk
  • With Alerts: Show only disks that have active alerts
  • By Status: Filter by Active, Missing, or Removed status

Disk Detail Page

Click on any disk to view comprehensive information:

Basic Information

  • Model name and manufacturer
  • Serial number
  • Firmware version
  • Device path
  • Disk type and form factor
  • Capacity

Technical Details

  • Rotation rate (RPM for HDDs)
  • Transport protocol (SATA, NVMe, SAS)
  • Block size information
  • Vendor details

Health Information

  • Health risk level
  • Health score percentage
  • Last health assessment date

Disk Status Types

  • Active: Disk is operational and reporting metrics
  • Missing: Disk has not reported metrics recently
  • Removed: Disk has been marked as removed from monitoring
